If you have young players, I find it best to have a visual to go with an emotion, so they know how to play something. I have no idea where I picked these up from and I’m sure I had more, but this was all I could find on my computer.
No doubt you could come up with your own, but this could give you some idea of what I mean.
Lay down the emotion cards face down on the floor and have your student choose an open string to play on, then choose a card. They have to play exactly the way the emotion card tells them to. It can be an absolute RIOT, especially if their own face mirrors the emotion card they picked up.
