Violin Open Strings Match Up Game

My younger violin students are reading notes!  It is exciting stuff, but as we learn new things (slowly does it), I like to keep revising what we have learned to keep it in their heads before we move on to harder things. (Did I mention they are very clever little peoples?)

Here’s a game they are going to love, even more because I am going to let them play against each other, not against me.

You can use this game as concentration/memory, or snap, or this way for single player use:-

– Lay one set of cards face up (E, A, D and G)

– Lay the other ones face down.

– Student turns the cards over one by one, names it then places it on top of the corresponding ‘face up’ cards.

Here are the cards – be sure to print out and laminate a couple of pages of the backs and fronts.  The backs are there so they can’t see through the cards: Open String Match Up Game
