Music Teacher resources for violin and piano teachers

Studio Friends

I have a few friends hanging around my studio.  Three, in fact.  I thought I’d give them a bit of a plug, as they’re really quite popular.

They usually watch to make sure students are playing with correct technique.  If Gulp sees flat fingers on the piano, he usually reaches over making munching sounds and tries to munch on a student’s hand.  “Students are tasty”.

Fuzzy Wugs really loves the littlies.  She’s a little more gentle and will motivate younger students to sing along with her, help them with games or give them hints to answers when they can’t remember.  She will also watch to see if they are doing the right thing.

Thly is hiding away at the moment.  He usually concentrates on the older violin students but due to my moving things around in the studio, he is currently confined to a box.  He generally will munch on violin students’ arms and hands if he sees wrists leaning against the violin when they’re not supposed to be, thumbs not where they should be, ‘chicken foot wrists’ on the bowing arm etc.

It really beats having to nag students, that’s for sure!

You can find these fuzzy friends here (along with a whole heap of other ‘friends’) Manhatton Toy Hand Puppets
