I have been using the Encore on Strings ‘Music Maestros’ Books with some of my students. The songs are enjoyable but I feel the books used on their own (like most books) are missing something. I came up with some flashcards to assist with teaching from these books.
The flashcards have all the new musical concepts introduced throughout the book so you can review them with your students prior to playing the pieces.
You can print out two copies and play Memory with cards you wish to review.
Print out two copies of the rhythms and have your students compose their own melody to go with it.
