I had quite a few students turn up to this activity. This is what we did:-
Game: Something’s Missing (found here: Something’s Missing Game)
Learn: The Irish Washerwoman Trio (found here: The Irish Washerwoman Violin Trio )
I was also going to get them to compose a short song based on our Great Music Dig theme, however we ran out of time.
Performance: Perform the ensemble piece for parents.
The game took about 40 minutes for us to play and we were able to spend 15 minutes on the trio. They did a fantastic job playing the piece, and parents were suitably impressed. We are going to perform it in April at one of our local nursing homes.
