Dr Seuss General Knowledge Cards

Well, it’s exciting at my place!  We have moved into a new home, and I have a new teaching space to organise, and I get to actually finish what I had planned to do last year with my Dr Seuss theme.

I like to make sure my students know what is going on with all the ‘stuff’ on the page of music in front of them (and to assist with examinations), and therefore, I have prepared some basic general knowledge cards, with a Dr Seuss theme, of course!

Yup, that's me – the green faced teacher!

There are two pages of these cards (aka ‘fronts’), and I have prepared one page of ‘backs’ if you wish to use those.

I have to warn you, that I am still getting used to the new version of Publisher on my computer, and I really have no idea how to use it, so the backs of the cards may not match up with the fronts.  I cut out all the front cards (with the questions), paste them onto the backs, then cut them all out and laminate.  Probably takes a little longer, but it works for me.

If you’d like a copy of the Dr Seuss General Knowledge cards, you can find them here: Thing 1 and 2 General Knowledge Cards (can you guess which picture is on the backs of these cards?)

The idea is that a student will be able to choose a couple of these cards each lesson randomly, and answer them.  If they don’t know the answer, that’s a cool invitation for an open discussion about that point.
