Okay, so I will deviate from the violin and piano teaching for just a bit. As Ward Music Chairman, I would arrange a lot of the hymns to suit the number of people I had involved in a particular item. Sometimes it was a double quartet, sometimes a quartet, sometimes only male voices, sometimes only female.
At one point it was really difficult to get male voices in our choir, which was fine with me because I had a few ideas rattling around in the old bucket of bolts up top. This was one of those ideas that just sounded delightful.
It was done on one of the early versions of Sibelius, and I didn’t know how to use it properly (still dont 😀 ).
